Project: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction - Education Calendar
Technologies: HTML, .NET
Details: Looking for a way to streamline the maintenance for their Education Calendar, this application allows users to log in and add events. Events entered by users who are not logged in are stored in the database and held from display until they are approved.
To eliminate additional work, events can be set as recurring and have expiration dates to permanently remove themselves from the database. Past events can remain in the database, but not display, so they can be modified later.
Events can be sorted by month, filtered by team or search by keyword. The right navigation is dynamically created based on the current month and the upcoming three.
Project: WalKat Designs Jewelry E-commerce Site
Technologies: DHTML, PHP, MySQL, SSI, Flash, PayPal integration
Details: These unique jewelry designs are the work of two very talented individuals who have for years been requested to make them available online. Inky Fever was contacted to fulfill this request.
The initial concept was to develop a site that was clean, professional and easy to use with a new identity that was simple and elegant. This concept was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. The focus of the site is the full-color, high-detail photographs of their jewelery while keeping navigation and other elements to a minimum.
Providing an attractive design was only half of the project, however. Significant development went into delivering a robust database-driven e-commerce site that is as easy to use as it is to maintain. One requirement was the online database must interface with WalKat's local Access database for easy updates. A solution was created that not only imported data from Access, but also built the online catalog automatically. Categories, products, details and shopping cart links are all displayed automatically based on the input to the database without additional coding.
Online shopping is managed with PayPal and PayPal's IPN for the smoothest transaction they offer.
Project: Website
Technologies: DHTML, SSI
Details: The Spina Bifida Family Network provides support to families afflicted by Spina Bifida. The site uses purple, the Spina Bifida awareness color, for a look that's friendly and inviting. The site needed a simple way for the network to share information and resources.

Project: Website and Lease Application
Technologies: DHTML, PHP, MySQL, SSI
Details: The Wisconsin Council for Affordable and Rural Housing asked Inky Fever to design and develop their online presence. This site delivers both static and dynamic content. Basic information is offered free of charge for non-members. Paid members have access to membership directories and other information. A method was developed to allow new members to sign up and gain access instantly using PayPal's IPN service.
An online lease application was also developed, allowing paid members to create landlord lease agreements for new and renewing tenants. The application allows users to enter, save and retrieve information to create leases in the PDF format dynamically.
Security precautions were also integrated with the site to administer user input. All input is reviewed and controlled by the webmaster. Tools were developed to review and approve or reject submissions to membership data as well as the marketplace for posting items for sale of job openings.
Project: TCS Basys Controls Website
Technologies: DHTML, PHP, MySQL, Flash, SSI
Details: TCS Basys Controls was looking to modernize their website design and display their product catalog dynamically.
Using the design provided by their graphic artist, Inky Fever began development on the site for a cleaner, easier to navigate site that would also display product information dynamically. The first step was to code the tableless design to align the graphic elements. Once the code was in place, a MySQL database was developed and their existing data was migrated.
A simple front end was also developed to manage product information.
Project: Lefty Lexington Website
Technologies: Flash, XML
Details: These cutting-edge designers asked Inky Fever for a "cool Flash website" with lots of motion. Using their design, the site was built entirely in Flash and is fully dynamic, using XML files to create the navigation and content on the fly.
Additionally, an online store was developed exclusively in Flash. Products can be added and removed from the shopping cart and paid for using PayPal.
Project: Calvary Gospel Church Website
Technologies: HTML, PHP
Details: Calvary Gospel Church contacted Inky Fever to design and develop an attractive, content-rich website. Integrating a real-time calendar, the index page was designed to connect with a database to display current and upcoming events.
The church sponsors events and photos from these are displayed dynamically on the site. Event names, thumbs and full-size images are displayed automatically. Events are dynamically-created links based on the folder names where they reside. Thumbnails are displayed automatically with links to the full-sized images.
